Scenario 1: In-school classes

All students, staff and visitors are required to complete the COVID-19 Alberta Health Daily Checklist before coming to school each day and follow the direction provided in the document if they answer "Yes" to any of the questions.

The Impact of Your Support

The Festival of Trees is only possible through the support of the community, and gives back in various ways:

  • Family and children's activities to participate in at very little cost;
  • Santa’s Helpers: collection of new toys for campaign;
  • Food Bank: items collected and delivered;
  • Santa visits and pictures inside with money going to Lac La Biche Kinettes and their projects;
  • Santa letters to be sent and answered back;
  • An opportunity for local businesses and groups to advertise their support by creating a decorated tree for the show;
  • Tree raffle with price set so any family can win. Some of the proceeds go to JAWS Leadership, Student Union, Drama, Band, and other school groups. After expenses, the proceeds are donated back to community children groups and non-profit organizations;
  • Shopping Extravaganza:
    • Vendor Donation Raffle with proceeds going to the Kids are Worth It food program  
    • Bouncy Houses: donation to supervising Group (4-H, Scouts)
    • An opportunity for local venders to sell their wares
    • An opportunity for non-profit groups to raise money for their programs
  • Ladies Lunch proceeds to the LLB Lion’s Club and their projects
    • LLB Cadets: donation
    • Northern Beats Dance Club: donation
  • Celebrating Senior Tea and Donation: put on by the Lakeland Scouting and First LLB Beavers and Cubs
    • Donation money used for their Foster Child 
  • Concession Booth raising money for Aurora Middle School Band
  • An event for local students to volunteer at and learn citizenship skills
  • Come out the enjoy Kids Sports Pancake Breakfast and support needy sport kids
  • Enjoy listening to various school bands and choirs as they perform and raise money for their music programs
  • Try your creativity at making a gingerbread house and winning in the Portage Gingerbread Competition
  • Get out and participate in the Santa Skate hosted by the LLB Skating Club
  • And more!
